Activision and Infinity Ward revealed a new special editions of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 called it Prestige Edition, with not only the usual accoutrements like a special casing and an art book, but also fully functioning NVGs - night vision goggles! Infinity Ward community manager Robert Bowling has made a YouTube video (bellow) showing off the various Modern Warfare 2 special editions, and highlighting the “Prestige Edition”. As described by him It includes the usual goodies, also in the box is a voucher code for downloading the previously rumored PSN/XBLA version of the original Call of Duty. This plus a steel game case, art book and a custom molded plastic head for displaying your working night vision goggles on.
That’s pretty awesome, but we gotta imagine it’s gonna cost more than that $80 “collector’s edition” for $80 Amazon and GameStop are currently listing. There’s no mention of a retail price for the set just yet (Infinity Ward has just revealed the price for this check out the update bellow) when this is released world-wide on November 10th 2009 .
Make sure you check out the video after the break, with more details ..
So the contents of all three editions are as follows:
Standard Edition:
Just Modern Warfare 2 Game .
Hardened edition:
Modern Warfare 2 Game, Metal Casing, Art Book, Original Call of duty 1′ for Xbox Live Arcade. Priced : $80 .
Prestige Edition:
All Modern Warfare 2 Hardened Edition Content, Fully Functional Night Vision Goggles, Soap McTavish Head for displaying the goggles. No price details yet. Priced : $149.99 .

Hey, I need technical specs on the NVG’s that come with the prestige edition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Can you at least give me the name of the company that made them or the original name of the NVG and model? I wanna know what I’m getting into for almost $200 that could go to diapers or a camping trip.
